POP UP KARTE "EIN MÄRCHENHAFTER GEBURTSTAG" / POP UP CARD "A MAGICAL BIRTHDAY"

Hi, everyone!
I hope you are all well and your holidays and vacations are fabolous. Today I am back with our brand new challenge over at Avenue 613 Create ! I am still happy and honored to be part of GDT. This weeks optional twist is a really easy one: "Birthday". Like always the theme is "Anything Goes", our fantastic sponsor: The Paper Shelter.

My godchild Sonja will recieve a book of fairytales to her birthday. Therefore I decided to make a Pop Up Card (my second one :)). I have used "A Smart Snowhite" by The Paper Shelter and combined it with Gnomey Harry, which I bought at Make it Crafty. Like always I have used a loooot of my watercolour pencils (by Faber Castell). Finally I cut out the images fussily (*whew*) and mounted them on the cardstock.
I guess, I had so much fun creating this "magical" scene :).

"Have a magical Birthday":

Card´s outside is kept very simple. I used the background from the "Snowhite"-Digi Set by The Paper Shelter.

Materials:
Martha Stewart (for the frame), roses from WOC, water colour pencils by Faber Castell, punches
You can find the used images here: The Paper Shelter, Make it Crafty

Don´t forget to join in the fun and pop on over to Avenue 613 Create .
Thanks so much for stopping by -
have a magical summer!

Renata

Theatre Pop Up Card with a Stitched Tag

Hi, everyone!
I am thrilled to say I have been asked to become one of the GDT at 613 Avenue Create! Thanks to Chana and Kathy for asking me, and thanks to the whole team for the warm welcome.
Pop over to our Neighbourhood at 613 Avenue Create to meet the super talented Design Team!

The challenges are always "Anything Goes" with an optional theme. This weeks twist is "Someone Special (male)", and we are sponsored by the fabulous Rick St. Dennis.
I´m in love with his creations - and I´m sure that I´m in good company:).

 All the world´s a stage,

and all the men and women merely players...

(by William Shakespeare: "As You Like it", Act II)

Enjoy!

(by me :))

I needed a very special card for one of the fantastic  (male) actors of my theatre.  (Our next premiere is in little more than one week *whew*.) When I saw the images of RSD for the very first time, I knew that those are perfect for my project.

I decided to make a Theatre Pop Up Card, using Captain Mc Steeme and Kaualani. Aren´t they a great couple - they look like the leading actors in a play, right? :))

The cards front side is covered and closed by a tag. If one removes the tag, the doors open automatically -  and the Pop Up Card pops up :)))).
(I was not sure, if my strange idea might work  - but everything went as planned. It´s a miracle :)).

Although the card is for a man, I decided that it would not make a faux pas to use some ribbons and embroidery.  That´s not manly? Hey! Don´t shriek it with fright! My justification is the curtain *LOL*.)

I wanted to paint a vintage background to create the scenery, but fortunately I found a nice image at  Create with TLC and the Artfire Shop, and coloured the background in a monochromatic and "soft" way.

The simple Pop Up construction.....
