MUTTERTAG / MOTHER´S DAY

SCHATULLE / CASKET

Meine Mutter ist grundsätzlich auf der Suche nach ihren Post-it. Darum habe ich anlässlich des Muttertags anstelle einer Karte eine "Post-it" Schatulle für sie angefertigt (und auch tatsächlich Haftnotizen in der passenden Farbe gefunden :)).

My mother is always searching for her Post-it. Therefore I decided to make a box instead a card (and I actually found some notepads in matching colors *LOL*).

Außenseite / Outside: 

Der Deckel der Schatulle ist mit Blumen bestickt und einer Rose von WOC verziert. Für den Rahmen verwendete ich den Blumenstanzer von Martha Stewart. 

The lid of the box is decorated with stitched flowers and a rose from WOC. I used the flower punch from Martha Stewart to frame the embroidery.

Innenseite / Inside: 

Stempel:

Als Stempelmotiv verwendete ich den brandneuen Digi-Stamp von Elisabeth Bell ("Little Friends"). Ich fand ihn sehr passend, denn die süße Kleine strahlt so viel Wärme und Fürsorge für das Vögelchen aus - wie eine kleine Mama :).

I used the brand new Digi-Stamp by Elisabeth Bell ("Little Friends"). I think that´s very appropriate, because the sweet doll radiates so much warmth and caring for the baby bird - like a little mom :).

Sentiment & Tag: 

   

Auch wenn wir breits erwachsen und aus dem Nest gefallen sind, schenken uns unsere Mütter weiterhin ihre Liebe. Deshalb entschied ich mich für die folgenden Aufschriften.

  

Even when we are grown up, our mothers continue to give us their love. Therefore I used the following words for the sentiment and the tags:

Sentiment: "Wunderbar geborgen" / Sentiment:  "wonderfully sheltered" 

Tag:  Tempus fugit  Amor manet!

Rückseite: Die Zeit mag vergehen, doch Liebe und Geborgenheit bleiben.

Backside: Time goes by but love and caring remain.

  

Die Herausforderung - The Challenge :)

 

Ich wollte einerseits, dass der Deckel der Schatulle offen bleibt, damit man das Bild betrachten kann. Andererseits sollte sie natürlich gut verschlossen werden können. Ok, die Umsetzung war ein klein wenig kompliziert, aber letztlich hat es blendend funktioniert :).....

I wanted that the lid remains open - so that the image can be seen.  On the other hand the box should be well sealed. Ok, it was a little bit tricky - but it worked......
